Thoughtful care, every step of the way.
Mental health treatment during pregnancy and reproductive transitions should feel clear, collaborative, and supportive from the beginning.
Here’s what you can expect.
T H E P R O C E S S
01 | Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
The initial appointment aims to understand the full scope of your experiences, symptoms, and needs.
We discuss:
• current symptoms and concerns
• reproductive goals or pregnancy planning
• medical and psychiatric history
• previous treatment experiences
• current stressors and life circumstances
By the end of the appointment, you will have a clearer understanding of next steps and treatment options.
02 | Collaborative Treatment Planning
Medication decisions are made collaboratively, guided by evidence and your individual needs.
We review:
• risks and benefits
• pregnancy or breastfeeding considerations
• alternatives when appropriate
• supportive non-pharmacologic options
Questions are encouraged. Decisions are made together, with attention to both clinical safety and personal comfort.
03 | Medication Management and Ongoing Support
Follow-up appointments provide continuity as needs change over time.
Visits allow space to:
• monitor symptoms
• adjust medication when needed
• address new stressors or transitions
• support stability through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or parenting adjustments
Care remains steady and supportive throughout each stage.
04 | Coordinated Care When Needed
When appropriate, collaboration with therapists, OB-GYNs, midwives, fertility specialists, or primary care providers helps ensure continuity and safety across your care team.
Coordination is always handled thoughtfully and with patient consent.
Beginning psychiatric care does not have to feel complicated.
If you are ready to take the next step, scheduling an appointment is simple.
